About Us Sunstone Credit is on a mission to revolutionize renewable energy finance. Sitting at the intersection of climate, finance, and technology, Sunstone is expanding access to renewable energy by providing financing solutions that help businesses reduce energy costs and lower their carbon footprint. Commercial solar represents one of the fastest growing segments of the energy market, yet access to financing remains a significant barrier for many businesses. Sunstone exists to solve this problem. By combining innovative technology, proprietary underwriting tools, and unique capital partnerships, we provide simple and efficient financing solutions that enable businesses across the country to deploy solar energy systems. Founded in 2021 by experienced entrepreneurs and backed by leading venture capital firms and financial institutions, Sunstone is building the platform that will power the next generation of distributed clean energy. We operate in a collaborative, high-energy startup environment with offices in New York City, and every team member shares in the company’s success through meaningful equity ownership.
About the Internship Program Sunstone is seeking a Summer 2026 Credit Analyst Intern to join our team in New York City. As a Credit Analyst Intern, you will work on the front lines of our investment process, evaluating renewable energy financing opportunities for commercial borrowers. You will support our deal team in analyzing both the financial strength of borrowers and the economic performance of the solar projects being financed. This role provides hands-on exposure to project finance, credit underwriting, renewable energy markets, and fintech operations. You will work directly with our underwriting and investment team, gaining real experience evaluating transactions that help businesses deploy distributed energy systems. Because Sunstone is a startup, interns are fully integrated into the team. You will collaborate across functions, contribute to real credit decisions, and help us continuously improve our underwriting and operational processes.
