About Us
Sunstone Credit is on a mission to revolutionize commercial solar finance.
Sitting at the intersection of climate, finance and technology, Sunstone is opening the door to a previously underserved segment in the solar industry by offering financing solutions that help businesses save money and reduce their carbon footprint by going solar.
Founded in 2021 by successful serial founders, Sunstone has a strong backing from top VC firms and financial institutions that position our company for explosive growth in 2026 and beyond.
We have partners and customers that are diverse, and we are building a team that reflects that. Our team members collaborate and innovate from our HQ in NYC’s Flatiron District and every one of our colleagues shares in Sunstone’s success with meaningful equity ownership.
If you're excited about helping businesses adopt clean energy and want to build your career in a fast-growing climate tech startup, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Help commercial solar companies grow their business while accelerating the transition to clean energy.
As a Partner Success Associate, you'll build relationships with commercial solar installers and developers across the country, helping them finance projects, close more deals, and grow their businesses. You'll own a portfolio of partner accounts, serving as a trusted advisor while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, increase product adoption, and drive long-term growth.
This is a high-impact role with significant ownership from day one. You'll work directly with business owners and sales leaders, solve real problems, and collaborate across teams to deliver an exceptional partner experience. Every conversation you have helps more businesses access clean energy financing.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. If you're naturally curious, highly organized, and motivated to improve what exists rather than simply maintain it, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building your career in climate tech.
As Sunstone continues to grow, so will your opportunities. You'll have the autonomy to shape your accounts, contribute to our partner strategy, and help define how we scale one of the fastest-growing commercial solar financing platforms in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Manage a high volume of simultaneous deals at various stages, maintaining accuracy and urgency across all of them — tracking every commitment, deadline, and follow-up.
- Juggle competing priorities across dozens of active accounts daily, knowing when to escalate and when to execute independently.
- Develop a deep understanding of each account's structure, priorities, and business objectives by asking thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions and probing beyond surface-level needs.
- Proactively engage partners to ensure a seamless experience for new loan applications, coordinating with internal cross-functional teams to support the successful execution of Sunstone-approved projects.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across each account.
- Serve as the primary point of contact — ensuring questions and issues are addressed accurately and quickly via email, phone, or text (Sunstone number provided).
- Partner with multiple Sunstone teams to shephard loans through their lifecycle
- Account Development:
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and increased product adoption, partnering closely with director-level BD team members to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Leverage Sunstone's thought leadership — including webinars, best practices, and market insights — to deepen engagement with both new and existing partner contacts.
- At least two years of professional experience in a B2B customer-facing role. Finance or solar background preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to thrive in high-volume environments — you get energized, not overwhelmed, when the inbox is full and the phone won't stop.
- Exceptional attention to detail even when moving fast — you catch the typo in the term sheet and the missed callback on a busy Friday.
- Driven, resilient, and goal-focused. Unafraid to spend significant time calling, researching, and managing a large portfolio of accounts simultaneously.
- Engaging, confident, and energetic, with the ability to create rapport and inspire action quickly.
- Highly organized and responsive, committed to providing a great experience for partners while representing Sunstone.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to convey professionalism, personality, and brand identity via phone, email, and text.
- Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work.
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree desired.
